Red Dress Day

Started as the REDress Project by Indigenous artist Jamie Black who used an installation of empty red dresses to raise awareness of the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls across Canada and the United States in 2010. As the Minister of Indigenous Relations nothing breaks my heart more than seeing the empty red dresses hung in windows and from trees representing the all too many Indigenous.
